The 'Warrior' 8 and 10 ton chassis
A range of reliable and economical middleweight chassis, designed for hard work and long hauls. Features included an economical 5½ litre diesel engine, a 5-speed gearbox with overdrive to a 2-speed rear axle, and good handling characteristics thanks to the air-hydraulic brakes, and long progressive springs.

There were six chassis in the range, suitable for use as a truck, tipper, pantechnicon, and a tractor unit.

Steering
High efficiency cam and double roller mechanism. 19" diameter steering wheel.

Suspension
Overslung semi-elliptic leaf springs at the front and rear, in silicon manganese steel, anchored at the front and shackled at the rear. 52" long front springs, 60” long rear springs, all 3" wide.

Brakes
Bendix-Westinghouse, air-operated, Girling shoe brakes.

Wheels and Tyres
9.00 x 20, 12-ply tyres are fitted all round on interchangeable wide base. Alternatively 10.00 x 20, 12-ply tyres could be fitted if required.  Complete spare wheel and mounting included.

Frame
A rigid assembly built of 9" deep x 3" wide x ¼” thick, high tensile, channel section frame pressings, strongly braced throughout by pressed steel channel cross members.

Electrical
C.A.V. dynamo with a maximum output of 15 amps at 1350 r.p.m. Two 12 volt Exide 6KHV.13R heavy duty batteries.

Fuel tank
10' 6" wheelbase chassis -  33 gallon tank, all other models had a tank of 40 gallons capacity.

Cab
Made of steel pressings, with fully domed roof and cambered sides and back, giving great strength and attractive styling. It had a joint at the waist-line so that the top section could be easily removed for major overhauls, or shipping abroad.
