James Bridge
Aqueduct, Bentley Mill Way. |
Grade II listed building, listed on 31st July, 1986.
It has the date 1797 in Roman numerals on a cast iron
plate attached to the central pier on the south side.
The aqueduct carries the
Walsall Canal over
Bentley Mill Way, and over the River Tame. It is built
of brick with sandstone keystones and has two round
arches with curved abutments. The south side is partly
rebuilt in 19th century brick. |
