An early 18th century farmhouse,
built of
red brick with purloined and tiled roof, and parapet
verges. The original windows have all been replaced with
modern casements. The building was originally occupied
by the Bentley Hall farm bailiff, when Bentley Hall was
still in use. It possibly stands on an ancient farmstead
and is locally listed.
The
building has had a variety of uses during the last
century. It has been part of a police station and later
used by the local authority. After being empty for a
number of years it is being lovingly restored by its
present owner. |
