The old police station in Crescent Road.

The former police station in Crescent Road and the front railings were Grade II listed on the 8th April, 2022. The building was designed by local architect, Charles William Davies Joynson and erected between 1899 and 1902 to replace the previous police station at 25 Church Street.

The two storey building with basement, is built of red brick and has buff terracotta dressings, plus a slate roof. The single storey extension at the back was added in the middle of the last century. The police station closed in 2018.
