This article is based on a series of descriptions of old Wolverhampton that appeared in several editions of 'The Wolverhampton Journal' in 1904. The magazine is a mine of information and well worth reading, especially for anyone that's interested in early 20th century Wolverhampton. The monthly magazine appeared in January 1902 and lasted until at least 1907. It has now almost been forgotten and copies of it are extremely scarce.
