Wolverhampton’s King of Brewers and his Brewery at Springfield

Butlers’ beers were well known and liked throughout much of Staffordshire, Shropshire, and the Black Country. Their existence was down to the determination and hard work of one man, William Butler, who built a great brewing empire out of a tiny back-street business. W. Butler & Company Limited became one of the most successful brewing businesses in the West Midlands, and Springfield Brewery became one of the most recognisable and well known landmarks on the northern side of Wolverhampton.
