The Census Return Layout

This census, is identical to the previous one, except for the final column. This now lists four, numbered disabilities. They are deaf-and-dumb, blind, imbecile or idiot, and lunatic. It's not made certain how the diagnosis was made, and how reliable any figures gained from this list, could have been. Though the first two could be said to be fairly safe.

The quality of the census from this time onwards, is very much better. Though again, at a local level, the films sometimes become scratched or marked by the readers.
