The Census Return Layout

This census now includes a more detailed list of living accommodation for each family. Previous census returns only listed the number of families, whereas this one shows whether or not each family was living in a separate dwelling, or only in a certain number of rooms, within a house.

The other significant change is in columns 12, 13 and 14. A separate column now shows if a person was unemployed. It also contains a separate space for an Employer.
