The Drill Hall, Stafford Street

Originally the Drill Hall of the South Staffordshire Yeomanry Regiment, whose device appears in two stone panels on the facade, along with terracotta panels above the ground floor windows and terracotta spandrels above the first floor windows.  There may be terra cotta panels used as friezes in the large front rooms on the first floor.

A panel above the ground floor.
From the left: terracotta spandrels, stone regimental device and a terracotta pilaster of the adjoining Hogshead Inn.
