Tiles in House Porches - page 1

These photos have been provided by Duncan Nimmo.  He took them at houses in various locations around Wolverhampton.  All the houses appear to be from the late Victorian era. Note that some of the photos include floor tiles as well as wall tiles; and that the equivalents of the dado rails and skirting boards are often in ceramic tile as well.

On the left are more of the very popular lillies but in a different surround.  How was each porch designed and by whom?

Note, in both cases, the "Minton" type tiles on the floor.

This is probably a full set:  "Minton" tiles in the hall, "quarry" tiles on the porch floor and half a catalogue of different glazed tiles on the porch wall.
