Listing: The Broadway public house, Lichfield Road. Comment:
A prominent pub in orange-brown brick with prominent timber gables
on a street corner. The timber work has careful detailing, including
the small side struts set downwards at an angle in each gable, and
arches inside some of the panels. All these features strongly
resemble Clarkâs other half-timbered pub designs: the Mitre,
Stourbridge, and the Raven, Weoley Castle. Massive chimneys,
corbelled out well below the tops.
