Listing: The Pilot public house, Green Lane, Aldersley. Comment:
A simple disign of pub by the architect Twentyman in buff brick. In
some ways a smaller version of the Golden Lion, with hipped roof and
moderne left hand doorcase with eagle roundel above, though it has
wooden windows, and the upper ones are sashes.
The interior was being completely gutted at the time of visiting
(February 2008) but it has townscape presence on a sharp corner in
an
area otherwise dominated by inter-war estate housing.
