Listing: Locally listed in 2004. Former Seven Stars public house.
Built 1934, mock timber frame and corner lantern feature. Range of earlier
buildings to the rear may be associated with earlier public house/farm on same
site. Landmark building.
Comment: Now (2004) in a sad state, this building sticks out like a
very sore thumb in Bilston High Street, which has been the subject of
pedestrianisation and much upgrading and environmental work. It is well
worth preserving, not only for its own landmark quality but also because it
makes a curious contrast with the Greyhound and Punchbowl, just a little further
down the street, which is a genuine, original, half timbered building.
