Comment: This large pub has now been converted into a church.
Great Brickkiln Street has changed its character in the last ten to
twenty years. It used to be a densely occupied area of houses and
industry. It is now largely flats and open spaces. The few remaining
older features, such as this pub and some historically important
industrial sites, on this and adjoining streets, need to be retained as
part of a comprehensive treatment which would preserve the character of
the area.
