Listing: Modest but good example of 1930s telephone exchange. Locally
Listed, approved March 2000.
Comment: The building is in an architecturally varied bit of suburbia
and fits in well enough. Of itself it is a very neat, almost pretty, example of
1930s Georgian. It purpose is identified only by the two roundels on the front
elevation. A somewhat better treatment of the hard surfaced surrounds and of the
fencing would be appreciated.
