Listing: terrace of four houses. c.1850. A good example of a midC19
terrace built as part of Wolverhampton's suburban development.
Comment: this terrace (sort of in a downsized version of Nash) was
built before West Park (nearby) was thought of. It would have been within easy
walking distance of the town centre and in the fashionable Tettenhall direction.
But it would also have been near the race course, which might have attracted
some and have been seen as undesirable by others. Similarly, these days it might
be thought to be too near the brewery - or not, depending on your interests.
