Comment: The fact that this house lies in a roadway off
Mill Lane, which seems to have suffered from re-numbering, means that it
is not immediately apparent which house is listed. But this is the
house which appears as No.45 in the listing.
The house stands gable end to Mill Lane and was very
probably one of the earliest houses on this road, though its neighbour,
to the right, is listed with an earlier date. The area around the
house was almost entirely agricultural until the second half of the 20th
century and this house was most probably associated with farming.
