Comment: Church Street leads directly to the west front
of St. John's. It was once lined on both sides with Georgian
Houses, though probably not all the same as this surviving pair
- the development was somewhat piecemeal and not all carried out
by one developer or builder. The property on the downhill
side (left of the photo) was probably of the same sort of date
as this pair - see the doorway in the carriage arch. That
is probably beyond redemption; and this listed pair need
work done on them, quickly.
